## Start from a defined thesis

Recommendations are useful only when the active investor profile and investment thesis are correct. Confirm both before interpreting a company as a match.

## Assess a recommendation

1. Open the company profile and confirm its current visibility and fundraising status.
2. Compare the company’s stage, sector, location, funding context, and other evidence with the selected thesis.
3. Review the pitch, deck-derived information, indicators, customers, suppliers, and potential score when available to you.
4. Distinguish information provided by the company from calculated scores or system recommendations.
5. Request a connection or move the company into the funnel only when the next action is justified.

## Understand unavailable information

A hidden field, missing tab, or inaccessible document may reflect profile completeness, visibility, connection state, or your current investor context. It does not prove that the company has no such information.

**Recommendation is not a decision**

Treat matching evidence as a prioritization aid. Verify source information and apply the investor’s own review and decision process before acting.
