## Use the correct investor context

Investor sidebar → Funnel

The funnel belongs to the selected investor profile. Confirm the profile before adding companies, editing stages, or recording decisions.

## Organize the stages

Use stages to represent meaningful decision points in the investor’s process. Keep names concise and ordered. The initial stage is protected, and a stage containing companies cannot be deleted until those companies are moved or removed through the supported workflow.

## Move and assess a company

1. Open the company record from the active funnel.
2. Review the evidence and current stage before recording a decision.
3. Move the company only to the stage that reflects the completed process step.
4. When voting is available, record an allowed decision for the company in its current stage.
5. Confirm that the company appears once in the intended stage and that the visible decision is correct.

## Preserve process history

Do not rename stages to reinterpret past work or use a vote for a company that is not in that stage. Resolve duplicate or misplaced records before reporting funnel totals.

**Deletion has safeguards**

Eqdeal blocks deletion of the initial stage and stages that still contain companies. Move the records intentionally before removing an obsolete stage.
