Different roles in Eqdeal

  • Stakeholder — a person or organization represented in the company’s ownership structure.
  • Investor — a person or organization associated with an investment contract or portfolio.
  • Representative — a user authorized to access or administer a company workspace.
  • Option participant — a beneficiary included in a stock option offer.

The same person may appear in more than one role, but platform access and legal ownership are recorded separately.

Avoid duplicate identities

Search by name, email, company, or domain before creating a new record. Duplicate stakeholder records can make contracts, documents, and portfolio reconciliation harder to understand.

Confirm identity before assigning a position

For a person, verify the intended individual and the available identifying information. For an organization, use its legal identity rather than an informal vehicle or brand name. Do not infer that an Eqdeal login is the legal owner without checking the stakeholder represented in the contract.

Resolve duplicates carefully

Before asking for records to be consolidated, identify every contract, transaction, document, option offer, and portfolio relationship attached to each identity. Creating another record or moving only one transaction can make the discrepancy harder to reconcile.
