Why the review matters
Issuance changes a projected or contractual position into recorded ownership history. Eqdeal blocks most concurrent company changes while the process runs to protect consistency.
Pre-issuance checklist
- Confirm the company, round, contract, and effective date.
- Reconcile every investor and stakeholder with the executed documents.
- Check share class, quantities, rights, currency, valuation, and dilution.
- Review authorized, treasury, issued, and reserved totals.
- Resolve drafts, missing data, validation warnings, and duplicate stakeholders.
- Confirm that no other administrator or integration is changing the company.
Do not use issuance as a way to preview results. Use simulation or the available ownership preview, then issue only after approval.
Review the downstream effects
Confirm which contractual positions will become shares or reserves, whether later conversions or exercises depend on them, and how company and stakeholder totals will change. Issuance can also affect available editing actions and the event sequence.
Record the review evidence
Keep the executed documents and approved calculation available on the relevant records. Identify who reviewed the representation and resolve discrepancies before the company enters the protected issuance process.
