Purpose
Simulation mode lets authorized users explore potential cap-table changes without presenting them as finalized company history.
Use simulation mode
- Open the company cap table and enable Simulation mode.
- Enter the hypothetical rounds, contracts, or ownership assumptions you want to evaluate.
- Review the simulated totals and clearly identify them as projections.
- Turn simulation mode off or reset it when the scenario is no longer needed.
A favorable scenario does not replace approved legal documents or the controlled issuance workflow.
Compare scenarios consistently
Keep the same ownership basis, valuation basis, dates, and included instruments when comparing alternatives. Change one assumption at a time when you need to understand its effect. Record the assumptions outside the final cap table if the scenario will be discussed with other people.
Return to recorded ownership
After leaving or resetting simulation mode, confirm that the page identifies the recorded company state and that hypothetical positions are no longer included. Reopen simulation rather than entering unapproved assumptions into live rounds or contracts.
