Round-level valuation
Set valuation on the round when its contracts should share the same financing valuation. Contracts without an override inherit that value.
Contract-level valuation
Set valuation on a contract only when its executed terms differ from the round. The contract-specific value takes precedence for that contract.
Set or change valuation
- Open the round or contract and choose its valuation action.
- Enter the effective valuation, date, currency, and requested details.
- Save and verify which contracts inherit the round value.
- To remove an override, use the action that returns the contract to its round valuation.
A valuation change can alter prices, conversions, dilution, and projected ownership. Recheck every affected contract before issuance.
Verify the source of truth
Compare the saved currency, effective date, and amount with the approved financing documents. Then open each affected contract and confirm whether it inherits the round valuation or intentionally uses an override. Resolve unexplained differences before calculating or issuing equity.
