Resume or discard a draft

Why drafts exist

Multi-step workflows save incomplete work so you can continue without prematurely creating a finalized contract or option offer. Only these two workflow types can be resumed from Drafts; a round is created and saved directly, not through a resumable draft.

Resume safely

  1. Open Drafts from the account navigation.
  2. Confirm the company, workflow type, and last-updated time.
  3. Resume the draft and recheck earlier steps before completing it.
  4. Discard only the intended draft when it is no longer needed.

Discarding a draft does not delete a completed issuance or other protected historical record.

Choose resume or discard

Resume when the draft still represents the intended transaction and its source information remains valid. Discard when the work was duplicated, started in the wrong company, or replaced by a different approved structure. If you are unsure, inspect the draft first and preserve any source documents before removing it.

If the draft will not open

Confirm the active workspace and your current access. The underlying company, contract, participant, or permission may have changed after the draft was saved. Do not recreate the same transaction until you know whether the existing draft created any completed record.
